Our neighbor Chris set up a cyclocross course in the snow, complete with obstacles and a section where you have to carry your bike. Sadly Matt and I got lost finding the race and missed pretty much the whole thing, but we did get to ride the course a few times which was so much more fun that I expected. Riding in the snow is still scary at times but I'm getting much better at it.
BB has the biggest, blackest nose
So, I had this made into a small magnesium block. And if Shakespeare lets us in tomorrow, we're printing cards.
I love watching the birds in our back yard when i'm working at my computer in our kitchen nook. I've never lived somewhere with so many birds. Yesterday out of the corner of my eye I saw what looked like one of those big owl decoys in our tree. I couldn't decide if it was an owl or a hawk, so I'd like to think it was a northern hawk owl, which you can supposedly see in treetops during the day. It was a pretty cool looking bird, whatever it was.
Last night some friends decided to go for a bike ride in the blizzard. I wasn't quite tough enough for that, but I was able to make it for a few blocks in the thickest snow I've ever ridden in. It was really fun trying to keep the bike tires straight on the slippery snow.
these little fish are pretty fun and easy to make
it was really important that we get our tree right away since I only have until Dec 16th to enjoy it before flying back to California. So we put it up last night and it was fun to unwrap all of my ornaments. The bird and house ornament that Mignon made, the screen printed owl, Matt playing guitar at the old Oakland compound are just a few of my favorites…
I’m still working on ornaments for this year – I’ll post them in a few days I hope.
